Cris Brito

She has 30 years of experience in the field, beginning her career at TV MIX, an innovative variety program of the late 1980s. Then she worked at the São Paulo public television station TV Cultura for 10 years, including 6 as public relations/publicity director/head. These were the golden years of TV during which she had the opportunity to work with a top level programming lineup and to create communication/PR strategies for the launch of some of Brazil’s best TV shows – Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum, Cocóricó, Mundo da Lua, X-Tudo, Turma da Cultura, Ensaio, Jazz Brasil, Bem Brasil, Viola Minha Viola, Som Pop, Metrópolis – and successful international productions such as Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth, The Wonder Years, Beakman’s World, Doug, and Les aventures de Tintin.

In March of 2000, Ms. Brito founded Escritório de Comunicação, a boutique PR agency dedicated to serving a small number of clients with personalized service. These were the early years of subscription TV, and she worked with some of the biggest names, both in Brazil and internationally, in addition to major content producers, PR firms, technology companies, air-conditioning companies, and hotel chains.

Ms. Brito has overseen the launch of over 50 TV programs, series, and documentaries, including Um Menino Muito Maluquinho (TV Brasil), Meu Amigãozão (2DLAB/ Discovery Kids), 3% (Boutique Filmes/ Netflix) e Mal Me Quer (Boutique Filmes/ Canal Warner).

She also had broad experience organizing events for the launch of TV programs and series and in publicity for international celebrities and top executives such as George Bodenheimer (former president of ESPN International during his first visit to Brazil), Jim Egan (CEO of BBC World News during his first visit to Brazil in the ABTA- the Brazilian Pay TV/ Telecom Association), Gordon Smith (President of NAB- National Association of Broadcasters in the SET – Brazilian Society of Television Engineering Conference in Brazil), and actors from the TV series CSI, Just Shoot Me, during Sony Channel’s Talent Tour.

Ms. Brito has acquired a global network and vision of the sector through her participation in international conferences and conventions such as MIPTV, MIPCOM e Sunny Side of The Doc, in France; Animation Festival, in Canada; and ESPN Marketing Meetings, in Argentina, USA, and Mexico. In Brazil she has participated in prominent events such as Rio2C (formerly Rio Content Market), Comkids Prix Jeunesse Festival, Festival do Rio- Rio Festival, Mostra Internacional de Cinema – Sao Paulo International Film Festival and (now discontinued) ABTA- Brazilian Pay TV/ Telecom Association, Telas Festival and Fórum Pay TV.

With a strong affinity for the arts, thanks to her other passions of music and film, Ms. Brito was a consultant and coauthor of two chapters on communications in the 2013/2014 and 2015/2016 editions of the Guia Brasileiro da Produção Cultural – Brazilian Cultural Production Guide (Edições SESC), organized by Cris Olivieri and Edson Natale.

After earning her degree in Journalism from FIAM, Faculdades Integradas Alcântara Machado, Ms. Brito has continued to update her professional knowledge through courses in Corporate Affairs at Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV; Film Publicity for the Entertainment Industry at UCLA in Los Angeles; Social Media and Digital Innovation at Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing – ESPM; Digital Marketing at SPDScholl; and Digital Media Communication Strategy at Jump Education.

Cláudia Hataro

She is driven by curiosity and a desire to create news with credibility. Ms. Hataro began her career in 1994 in television production teams at TV Gazeta, Rede Vida e Rede Mulher.

Three years later Ms. Hataro began working in communications and public relations. Her first client was the technology giant Oracle, and then she moved on to the communications department at TV Cultura where she spent four years doing publicity for launches of such programs as Provocações as well as the channels highest profile offerings such as Roda Viva, Ensaio, Repórter Eco, etc.

Ms. Hataro joined the Escritório de Comunicação at the invitation of Cris Brito in 2001. Since then, she has been serving the needs of TV channels and providers, production companies, and theater and dance groups, in addition to audiovisual displays, gaming and art events, publishers and industry groups.

Curious by nature, she has had the opportunity of working in a broad variety of areas, such as hotels and hospitality, the air-conditioning industry, and sporting goods. She has also worked with website development, golf tournaments, and even historic building restoration.

Journalism is both work and play for Cláudia. Writing, researching, and learning about the world are her daily activities. A true nerd, she keeps up with science and technology, as well as science fiction, including the latest Star Trek spin-offs and the latest release both on- and offline.

With a Journalism degree from Fundação Cásper Líbero, Ms. Hataro also has certificates in Marketing and Business Administration from Universidade Paulista (UNIP) and training in social media from ESPM-SP.
